On June 21, 2018, our user meeting took place at the Hotel Hafen Hamburg. It was a very successful day, and we were excited about the high number of participants. Our HONICO team has received a lot of input and ideas for the future. Here is a brief review:
The topics of the event regarded news of our products BatchMan and File & DataManager: What is new and how can you optimally use process automation? The presentation by our developers Gerald Meyer and Vladimir Parpura offered a best practice approach to compare objects in different systems such as quality- and production systems.
Claus Uwe Hodum, Managing Director of HONICO Systems, gave a clear insight into SAP’s NetWeaver Foundation for 3rd Party Applications, a much-discussed topic, and explained what companies need to consider when using third-party solutions.
How SAP ABAP could look like in the cloud and how to prepare for it was shown by our Product Developer Lars Hodum. Further there was an exciting lecture by Marek Zwierzchowski about the future of scheduling in the cloud, which provided stimulating discussions.
Many thanks to our great customers and partners, whose speeches illustrated the use and possibilities of our solutions in practice. Our new customer NBank presented how, from many isolated solutions in the past, the introduction of BatchMan enabled a central workload automation of all SAP systems and how HONICO specifically addressed the requirements of the reporting system. In addition, we got a great overview of Beiersdorf’s process landscape with BatchMan and File & DataManager, which centrally control 20 SAP systems and four nonSAP systems. Our partner Itesys showed in a live-demonstration the automation of the recurring task of the system copy in the SAP Basis with the help of our solutions.
There have been many productive discussions with our users and partners. Many asked if we could provide a platform for the active dialogue between users.
